There is something very relaxing about meeting up with friends after a long day to dance your hearts out... -Stacey

Dona considers herself Persian-American and has always had a strong affinity for music and dance.  She has been belly dancing since first discovering Saffron Dance in 2009, and is now a recent graduate of the Saffron Teacher Training program, as well as a member of the Maqsoum Performance Company.

Dona's love of dance was apparent from a young age, when she would dance along to her father's playing on the dumbak (Middle Eastern goblet drum).  Her formal education began in first grade with jazz, tap, & ballet, and continued through high school, with pointe, hip hop, and cheerleading.  She gained choreography experience while involved with the Marymount University Dance Team, and then during graduate school discovered Saffron and her love for Middle Eastern dance.  In 2014 Dona also joined faculty at Saffron's partner studio BarreTech, where she teaches regular barre fitness classes.
