Saffron is my guilty pleasure, escape from the craziness of life and my sanctuary. -Sarah

Kids & Teens Faculty | Belly dancer Habbibah is a Speech & Language Pathologist who has been working with children since 2004.  Through her unique Hips to Lips methodolgy Habbibah has combined her love of dance with her professional training by teaching preschoolers phonemic awareness skills via dance.

Her extensive knowledge of child development and her love of Middle Eastern dance have afforded her a holistic approach to teaching children through movement experiences. This multi-sensory approach- learning by seeing, doing, and hearing- facilitates access to body awareness, motor planning, & recognizing and imitating motor patterns - skills that are a major underpinning in reading, writing, and math. Habbibah believes that dance in particular offers children the opportunity to learn confidence, creativity, and persistence among other qualities that help them become successful in school and life.
