Shahrzad: Fresh from Egypt
Don’t miss the chance to study with this rising star, Shahrzad, and learn the hottest combinations and techniques from Aida Nour, Liza Laziza, Nour, Nisrine & Farida Fahmy!
Shahrzad started her journey in belly dance at age 11. Within a few months of taking classes she knew she would make it her career. She started dancing professionally at age 16 and since then has made a name for herself in the Arabic club scene working at the top venues in Philadelphia, NYC, and the DC area as a full time performer. For the first few years of Shahrzad's dance education she trained in American cabaret, tribal fusion, and turkish styles but when she was first introduced to Faten Salama and her Egyptian dance style she knew she had found her calling. Since then she has been dedicated to learning and performing oriental and folkloric Egyptian dance. Shahrzad constantly continues her education with private study with Faten and other star Egyptian dancers.
